Donation Information
Our Medical Funds Needs HELP!
Our Medical Fund IS depleted ! Donations are urgently needed to continue the needed medical care for our doxies. Due to the state of the economy we are getting about 10 calls per week from folks loosing their homes or leaving California, loosing their jobs to layoff's or they just can't afford to keep their dogs. We get daily calls from Animal Control to help foster dogs.
All our fur-babies get complete health checks including spay/neuters, vaccinations, Micro-Chipping, Dental work if needed Currently Janet is paying for all the necessary vaccinations, urgent medical care, food and supplies.
Adoption fees are charged in order to help recover vetting and other related expenses and allow us to continue our rescue work.
Please note: Rescue NEVER makes any money and we often use our own vacation and or tax return money to pay Vet bills. There is no profit in this and in fact we are typically at a significant loss as the Vet care, food, supplies, etc we provide for our rescue dogs costs more than the fee we ask for. You can go to a shelter and get a low priced or free dog but please do understand when you get that dog home and then to the Vet you will likely end up with a bill higher than the fee we would have asked you for. We always advocate shelter adoptions but please do not be disillusioned about getting a free dog that will be free for long. Here are the typical expenses rescue incurs.
